When the lights go out, can you see better in the dark?

so, its been two months since i last updated this thing, and jesus do i ever miss it. i used to live by this thing, and i have no problem admitting it. i really would love to get back into updating when i can, so im going to do my best to get this thing back off of the ground. for those of you who dont know by now, im in a new band called Rumor Has It, were on myspace (/rumorhasitmusic) so feel free to add us as friends, its just an acoustic project, two of us, two acoustic guitars, thats it. lately ive been overly busy between going to/working/playing shows, working at my summer job, which ends on the 19th and that makes me kinda sad, because everyone i work with has become my second family, and its gonna be odd to not wake up and go see them every day. so ill have two and a half weeks off before we go back to school. hopefully in that time period i can make it down to new york and see angie, i have the time, its just whether or not i can find a way down, find a place to stay and a way to get around. also, i need to have my senior pictures done, and as soon as that happens, ill be getting my ears pierced so i can start gauging them, my lower lip, and possibly an eyebrow done, im not sure yet on the last two. and as i sit here now, i just realized that i need to do my summer reading for school, god damnnnn it. also i need to drop jazz band and add another class so i can work in the mornings. what a good year i have coming up, all i need to pass is english to graduate, and the rest of my classes are cake classes, im taking marine ecology, creative writing 2, music theory, stats and probability and honors english, plus whatever i decide on to fill my last block. jesus, it seems like just yesterday i was picking my classes for freshman year. theres so much thats going to be going on for me, i kinda want to start a solo project, its just a matter of me writing some stuff on guitar, ive got plenty of lyrics to get started with. ooo, warped tour this monday, hopefully i can go, my friends from new york, Southcott (www.myspace.com/southcott) got added to the mass date last week and if i can get down there they want to hang out, so im wicked excited about that, and hopefully my band will start getting some more shows during the school year, though i know anthony is gonna be in hawaii for a couple weeks at some point in october, which is why i wanna start writing some solo stuff, cause id really love to be playing as much as i can. im also hoping to get a post-hardcore/screamo type project into the works too, i just need to find some people to work with. its going to be a really busy 10 months or so until the end of high school, and then ill be going to school in florida for a year to get my bachelor's degree in recording arts and entertainment business, then its back up here to get back into playing and maybe even start producing and start a label, theres a ton of local bands id love to work with and help out, so id love to start signing some bands once i get the resources. if everything works out this is where i hope to be in about two years or so. quite frankly, as much as i dont want high school to end, i cant wait to begin chasing my dreams. i want to make it all work out. but for right now im just going to make the best of this last year of high school, playing music, hanging out with the friends i may never see again, and just basically living. anyway, heres to getting back into lj.
