you could be happy

Yesterday we hung out with the three strange guys. We got to know them a lot better. At first it was all of us together: Kara, Danielle, Gloria, Me, Devon, Colman, and Sean. We went on the Power Surge, which I was a little frightened to go on. Gloria told me that it didn't go upside-down. And what did it do? It went upside-down! It turned out to be pretty fun though.

The guys wanted to go to the silver shop to talk to their sketchy friend. That was interesting. Then they decided they were going to conduct an experiment with alkaseltzer and pizza crust. Kara and Danielle went to the playground while Gloria and I went with the guys. After several attempts we came to the conclusion that seagulls don't die when they eat alkaseltzer.

After that we joined Kara and Danielle in the park. We hung out for a while, doing cartwheels and handstands and trying plain alkaseltzer tablets. We were with them for at least four hours. And once we got home Gloria and I decided we were going to go back to the beach for some dance they'd invited us to. It was pretty much amazing.

Gloria and I had a lot of fun dancing crazy, but it wouldn't have been fun with out them. Gloria and Sean had already talked about their interest in each other, so naturally they danced during slow songs. Colman asked me to dance, and I said yes because I didn't want to just stand there. We kind of just shuffled back and forth with out changing direction. Completely awkward. After that dance I found out that Devon was going to ask me, but Colman did anyway. I thought Devon was cute since the first time we met. Same with Gloria and Sean.

The next slow dance Devon asked me. It kind of just clicked with him. I felt as if I could dance with him forever. The first time we danced it was awkward when it was over, but after a couple of times we'd hold onto each other even after the song had ended. Even though I was incredibly happy to be with him, it was so depressing to think that he was leaving in the morning.

When the dance was over the guys played with fireworks. Gloria and I sort of hoped they'd hang out with us more, but boys like fire. They walked us back to the car, and even though Gloria got to walk with Sean, Colman was walking in between Devon and I. Unfortunately for him, I wouldn't give into his parrot talk. At the car we had to say our goodbyes; Gloria didn't waste any time. I gave Devon a hug, but I felt bad for Colman so I gave him one too. I couldn't very well leave it at that. Gloria told me that Sean had asked her if I really liked Devon.

We honked at them and they turned around. Gloria insinuated that I wanted to talk to Devon alone, so Colman and Sean left. It was completely weird. But we hugged, and it makes me feel weak in the knees just thinking about it. We hugged for a while, and I wasn't sure when to stop because he wouldn't let go and I didn't want him too.

If I can't see him until next summer I'm not sure what I'll do. Congratulations if you made it through this entry!
