It's been said that I don't post very often, but when I do, I make it count.

I recently had a conversation about Livejournal, as many of you probably have had.  What I can't shake from my mind is the enormous power that this "series of tubes" called the internet holds.  It takes schoolyard gossip to a whole new level.  With a few strokes of a key and a click of a mouse we can put another human being on display, and make them a spectacle for all the world to see. We can tear them apart. We can make them cry. We can find reason to cry for ourselves. In this "I want it now" society, our drama and gossip explode as unexpectedly as Challenger.  We have great power in this little box of "obscure technical junk" that we call a PC, but with great power comes great responsibility.

So today, take responsibility for your own happiness, and then randomly pick someone else and be in charge of their happiness too.
And if all else fails sing a few bars of "It is well with my soul" before blasting the person you're unhappy with.
