I've got a new layout. What do you think?
I did it all by myself, even the banner. Without any help from
katiefoolery.
Katie: They grow up so fast!!!
Well... since I began the great mail-sending challenge, two weeks ago, I have sent two items of mail! Both were parcels, and both were dispatched to the birthday girls BEFORE the birthdays. Not a bad start.
I'm about to get a new boss. She seems cool, from what I've seen. I've turned 21, and received a new TV from the parentals and an absolutely kick-arse laptop bag for Algernon (from the fraternal unit). For my birthday, I ate DEEP FRIED fish, calamari and chips. And DAMN the consequences.
Then I crashed. I've been doing that a lot, lately. My poor old brain is so tired. It has just about enough energy to last a couple of hours, and then I need a nap. Basically, the poor old thing is buggered. It's hard work trying to dig myself out of the enormous hole I seem to have fallen into, and it means I'm tired all the time. I don't have the energy to do anything except go to work, eat dinner and check LJ, Obernet and email. That's my standard day. Occasionally I go shopping.
I am SO tired of trying. Why do some people get to go through life being cheerful, and with a brain full of serotonin when I have to work REALLY REALLY hard at feeling moderately okay?
But enough whinging...
As well as the Great Mailing List, I intend to embark upon two other projects designed to get me up and moving. Both can safely be completed by me alone in a room with Algernon the Laptop.
Task 1:
A post a day.
Let's see how long I can do this. Every day, I have to make AT LEAST one post. The rules:
1. Two posts today does not mean no posts tomorrow.
2. No access to the internet is forgivable.
3. Posts must have substance. Memes count, if they require answering questions. Quiz results and other lazy excuses do not count.
4. Posts can be friends-locked or public.
Please, Flist, I beg your help on this one. If you feel my post for the day is lame, and shouldn't count, let me know: force me to post something adequate.
Task 2:
50 Days, 50 Pages.
I have done absolutely bugger all writing. Terey Isabella needs work. I have GOT to do some writing. I figure forcing myself to write will improve my mood. Writing is always a boost, but when I'm down, it's the hardest thing to do.
So... 50 pages of TI in 50 days. That means August 17th is the big day.
To sum up, I shall have something to do, without even adding any of those goals I intend to do when I have a car!
Every Week, Kayt will:
Work two full days and two half days (subject to orders from above)
Post seven decent-sized LJ entries
Write about seven pages of Terey Isabella.
Send one item of mail.
And for good measure, let's make it official: Take the dog for a walk.
Those are the goals. Let's do it.
