It seems lately that whenever I try to update this thing, I draw a blank, even though I know I want to write something. I guess it must be lack of inspiration or something.
A long time ago, I came up with the idea of doing a weekly update based on the format that
pichi used to use. Obviously, I never went for it, but lately I figured that I would give it a try. I'm going to try updating on Mondays, since I'm usually off. We'll see how long this lasts.
Song That's Stuck on Repeat: Like we Never Loved at All by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. I saw them sing it together on Oprah a couple of weeks ago, and only got around to d/ling it the other day. It's a very sad but beautiful song that reminds me of several rps, but mostly revolves around a certain blonde character who's been rather angsty lately...
Anime in the DVD player/on TV: This one's a tie between Sukisyo and Genshiken. Both awesome and highly recommended animes.
Manga being gushed over: Gorgeous Carat by You Higuri. It has gorgeous artwork and a good story and the most adorable lil boy. Not to mention, the guy I like... something happens to him on the very last page. Heh.
Video game that's racking up the hours: Tales of Legendia for PS2. It's similar to Tales of Symphonia, my favourite game, when it comes to the battle system but ends there. I usually play for a couple of hours at a time, and it's really hard to stop. I've decided against using any sort of strategy guide, since they always spoil the game for me and then I never finish them, and my New Year's Resolution was to complete a game this year, and this will be it! I'm doing it for
Moses Stories from the land of RP: Haven't rp'ed in the longest time, but today Mixe and I restarted Shedding Humanity, with a slew of new characters. It's going to be awesome. I have a new goatboy, bunnyman, batboy and sharkman to add to my collection. I'm really happy we're rping this again, because I really loved rping Hex, Six and Dr.Huan. Not to mention, this rp has lots of potential! I have tons of unused ideas from when I was going to use the RP as the base for my Nanowrimo story... which never got started back in November.
Tales from Tim Hortons: Work still sucks like usual. They've hired two new supervisors, so I'm hoping that will mean that I get the occasional weekend off. That'd be nice. I can't remember the last time that happened. I've been doing afternoons lately so at least I'm the only one in charge. I can't stand having managers around. They're always watching, like they're just waiting for you to mess up and it makes things very tense. I have my own way of running the place. It's called, being nice to your fellow employees, having fun and making sure everything gets done. It works.
We got some new employees. Some of real idiots, and I swear, I don't know why they're hired in the first place, but occasionally we get someone good. This time we got Nathan. He's only 16 but he looks like Harry Potter! He's adorable. One day, someone asked him if he found his Goblet of Fire yet and I nearly pissed myself. Nathan doesn't mind, he thinks it's funny... I did notice that he got a haircut though, so now it's not nearly as messy.
Another thing, we have a type of donut at work called Walnut Crunch. It's basically a dark brown donut, with bits of walnut in it and it's in a log shape... I bet you can see where this story is going. Anyways, a guy named Noah went to the bathroom and let one of them in the toilet. It was friggin' hilarious! It expanded and... you had to be there... I guess only Canadians can truly understand the humour behind this story.
On the Home Front: Nothing too new. I went through my clothes and got rid of a garbage bag full. Things are now fitting in drawers and in the closet. I found my old monkey toque that Mixe bought for me back in the day. My room really needs to be tidied up. There's manga and clothes and assorted junk all over the place. It's actually starting to bug me... and that's saying something!
Boyfriend, friends and nights on the town: I finally got around to getting my health card so on Tuesday I went to the bar for the first time with my boyfriend, Matt and our friend Ryan. It was lots of fun. Ryan got drunk really fast (it was his first time in a bar too) and was proclaiming his love to a street lamp. I wasn't too bad, but I did acquire a taste for Irish Monkey. It's green and citrusy!
Looking forward to...: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire comes out tomorrow! I never got to see it in theatres, because no one would go with me... also, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totoro (<3) and Whisper of the Heart come out tomorrow too. On Wednesday night, I'm going with Matt and Ryan to see DeFault play at the Vibe. This weekend Mixe is coming home and Monday I'm going back to Toronto with her until Wednesday! Yay! Chinatown, here I come!
