Work was great today for one reason only.
I got promoted! I'm now a supervisor, Woot! I'm so happy. I finally get to boss people around and show my true colours. I've been really nice and friendly but now I finally get to tell other people what to do and to be in charge. It's gonna be great. I'll be supervising Thurs-Sun from 3-11pm. I no longer have to wake up at 6 for work and want to go to bed by 11 cuz I'm so tired. I'll be able to stay up late and rp again. I'm actually really excited about this.
It was actually a bit of a fluke too. The manager was in drive-thru with me and the two supervisors and Stacey, one of the supervisors, was saying how mad she was that she had to do 3-11 tomorrow because Carol (a supervisor) was sick... again. She's always sick and calling in. It's a rare day when she actually shows up so they were getting pretty fed up about it. It's really hard to find a replacement for a supervisor, especially on such short notice. Then Sheila (manager) jokingly said that she should just train me to do the job and I was like "Huh? Wha?" And she said she should just make me a supervisor and I said "Sure." Then she got all bug-eyed and was like "Really?!" And I was like "Sure, why not?" Then she went to the back office to talk to Michael, the head manager about it. Ormie, who was the other supervisor said that I had a really good chance of getting it, since I'm always there and I'm reliable and such.
Like... half an hour later I got called to the office and they sat me down and asked if I really wanted to be a supervisor, and again I said sure, why not? I like power. They seemed to like that, and they asked why I never said so before. Of course, I was like... "Well, that's not the sorta thing you say." Which is true! You don't just walk up to your boss and ask to become a supervisor, I always thought it was up to them. They asked why I didn't try out before and I told them the truth, I didn't think I stood a chance cuz I thought alot of people had applied, and it turns out only 4 did... and if I had applied, I would of been the first to get it. Why hadn't they told me this sooner? It doesn't matter, I got the job and they seem really happy to have me. I already know alot about the store, and Michael even said I probably won't need much supervisor training.
So, yeah, I'm real happy. I get a new visor! It's black. ^^

My told my dad and he was like "Super!" LOL My folks are real happy for me. It's a nice change...
I'll update later about my weekend in Toronto with Mixe, right now I think I'm just gonna go upstairs and read one of my new manga then watch American Idol.
