So.
I won an ebay auction for an iPod that is the same as the one I had that was stolen (black, 80gig classic).
I won the auction on March 2, aka 18 days ago.
Anyone want to guess if I have received that iPod yet?
The answer, of course, is a big, fat no. iVan, II (yes, that's what I'm naming it) is MIA...
...as is his original owner.
I have jumped through SO many hoops to get this damn iPod.
I paid for it immediately, within seconds of winning the auction and told the dude I already paid.
3 days later, he writes me and asks where it money is. I check, and it's sitting there in paypal, unclaimed. I verified with him that I have the right e-mail address, and he confirms.
A week goes by, he still doesn't claim the money. We go back and forth. I assure him it's there, he says he doesn't see it.
Then, he says, "I think you're using this e-mail address, but my paypal is this other address and I'm too much of a dumbshit idiot to link the right paypal account with my eBay."
Ok, so he didn't say he was a dumbshit, but it's still true. In eBay, you click "pay now" and it takes your money, happily, and sends it to a paypal account with the same email address the dumbshit used for his ebay account.
Except his paypal account is a different address and he chooses THIS point to tell me, when I've already asked if I was using the right account.
SO. I send the money to Dumbshit's other paypal account on March 12, aka Sara's Birthday, aka 8 days ago and Dumbshit says he's going to ship the iPod the next day or the day after.
It is now March 20th, and no iPod. I e-mailed Dumbshit 2 days ago and no reply.

Who thinks I've just lost $145?
Who knows how to get it back?
