Book Club
Thanks to my sister, I have a new book series to replace the beloved Harry Potter after book 7 when he finally A) dies at the end or B) kills Voldemort and lives happily ever after, married to Ginny Weasley with their 600 red-haired, green-eyed children.
The first book of the series is called The Lightning Thief, but I think the actual name of the series is Percy Jackson & the Olympians. I won't tell you what it's about, but imagine a blend of Harry Potter (modern-day pre-teen boy discovers he has powers he doesn't understand) and Greek Mythology (Zeus, Mount Olympus, etc.) and you'll begin to understand it.
Go to your local library today and check out The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. It's a rip-roaring, rootin-tootin, damn good time!
