I'm taking care of Chanel (my sister's dog) this weekend, but due to some scheduling conflicts, her roommate Lisa, aka,
lllano doesn't leave until Saturday morning, but I wanted to use the pool today, so I came over today anyway.
Dominique and I went swimming, then to the Mechanical Boy show, then to Mais' and I didn't get back until 2am, at which point, Lisa was asleep. I unlocked the door and found, to my surprise, that the inside deadbolt was locked, too. I now had a choice: I could A) call Lisa and wake her up, apologize like crazy, and ask her to unlock the door...
OR
B) Go sleep at Courtney's apartment since A) I always have the spare set of her keys and B) I'm taking care of her cat this weekend, too. [Note: Just because I have Courtney's keys does NOT mean I would randomly go sleep at her apartment...she only has one bed, so I don't think she would enjoy that.]
Unfortunately, plan B didn't occur to me until after I'd already dialed Lisa's number and she answered...at which point, I felt like a bitch. But she let me in anyway, cause that's the kind-hearted girl she is and now here I am posting about it on Erika's squeaky bed.
In other news, today (technically yesterday, October 6th) is the 3 year anniversary of my Laparascopic Cholecystectomy. In layman's terms, that's a Gall Bladder-ectomy....or a removal of the infernal, useless organ that's been causing me excrutiating pain for the last 2 weeks.
Yes, friends, it was 3 years ago today, before I knew most of you, that I was lying there in St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital having my abdomen puffed up with air and my little sack-o-bile cut out. Ahh, the memories. October 7th will be the 3 year anniversary of my ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangeo-Pancreatography) which is just a fancy way of saying, "Let's mouth-rape Julie with a garden hose."
Never in my life have I had so many people yelling "SWALLOW, Julie, SWALLOW!" at me....(well, actually, there was this other time, but we don't talk about that.)
Sunday the 8th will be the 3 year anniversary of my discharge from the hospital and Monday the 9th will be the 30 year anniversary of my parents wedding vows! Yay for my parents!!
I believe Monday the 9th is also
erinmind's birthday, for which I will be attending a party tomorrow night. So happy birthday, Erin, and goodnight all.
