Ladies and Gentlemen,
Allow me to direct your attention to the following:
On your left, you will see Julie in early May trying on her bridesmaid's dress in the wrong color.
On your right, you will see Julie in late June trying on her bridesmaid's dress in the right color...and minus 20 pounds.
That's right, folks; with the help of prescription apetite suppressants, a gym membership, and a week-and-a-half bout with food poisoning, I have successfully almost reached my goal!
The goal is, officially, 20 pounds by the day of the wedding, July 29th.
However, because July 29th also just so happens to be
cheops' 27th birthday, I made the silly joke that I'd lose 27 pounds by then.
I have one month and one day to drop at least another 7 pounds.
And now, here is a brief overview of:
THE PLAN
Plan/Goal #1 - Lose 25-30 pounds for the wedding.
Plan/Goal #2 - Get back to the weight I was at when I got out of the hospital in October of 2003, which was shortly before I met a lot of you. If Goal #1 works out, that makes Goal #2 approximately 46 pounds.
That's right people, since many of you have known me, I've gained 75 pounds. [Just in case you don't know who you are:

A lot of people don't believe me, either. Just look at this:
This was taken shortly after I got out of the hospital. And don't make fun of my outfit; I was 18.
[L to R: Erika, Sara, Richard, Ranjana, Juliet, Andy, my fat ass, and Agnieszka (go ahead, I dare you), and I think that's Danielle's arm..or maybe Lisa's]
This was taken 2 months ago at my birthday party.
Why am I posting all this? I honestly have no idea. I was so proud of myself when I put on my dress tonight that I just felt like putting it out there, I guess.
Anyway.
Goal #3 is "getting under 200 pounds," something I haven't been since...since...um....6th grade. Which was 1996.
After I meet goal three...quite a while from now, I'll be looking out for the next friend's birthday.
Anyone turning 40 next year?
