Welcome to the Josscars 2005 Peers Choice Banner Post.
Throughout the year the Josscars has tried to sort out just where to stand on the aspect of award communities, and the drama and the name calling and all of that, and we tried really hard to steer clear of most of it. We have tried weekly categories, but spent most of our own time filling the categories ourselves, we went for broader categories, we tried changing the categories, but so far the only thing that has worked with at least some level of success is just opening the flood gates and letting you all have at it.
That being said, I have decided to close Josscars Weekly, as well as the nomination Communities. Banners were being held in the Josscar Mods Gallery, however since the account has gone back to free all of our space went with it. I have all of them saved on my computer should anyone need an older one, but from now on banners will be held on my own gallery.
The Josscars Main Community here will remain open and will hold Quarterly Awards like the ones I am giving out this round. Keep in mind that I will place the nomination post up and that's basically it. I am hoping that what will happen is that between now and the end of the round that if you read something and think it is just a stand out post that you will nominate it. Don't wait until the end to run around like a crazy person, if you think it deserves it? Nominate it.
Please keep in mind that these awards were for an entire years worth of writing, there are over 200 banners here and this is not a popularity contest, nor is this to be considered a who got more type situation. Everyone that nominated was allowed one nomination per character, and each nomination required a scene in specific to be nominated from that character.
There were more than a handful of scenes that were nominated by several different people. I think this is a true commendation to the writing of all of your peers. The fact that numerous people can read something of yours and then recall it months later is amazing. Your writing makes an impact and please remember that.
Please take a moment to read the scenes that have been nominated. There are a lot I know, but trust me when I say these are the best of the best, and you all have shown me that by nominating them. Keep in mind that all the banners link to the scene they were nominated for, and if you were nominated for more than one scene from the same community you only were given one banner, but both links are up on the page. (Once you get past the shock of 200 banners you realize that making one for every single nomination is a task in itself, and multiples were just silly) Also, since there are 200+ banners here, if I made a mistake in spelling? Tell me, and I'll fix it asap. If there is a mistake in a link? Tell me and I'll fix it. I have dial up and I tried to check this post myself, but well... 200+ images = death to dial up. So just let me know!
So now without further rambling from me I give you the Winners of the 2005 Peers Choice Josscars.
