Oh... to the frustrated masses... let me mend your wounds... or not.

Okay folks, so I made the changes last night, and I am sticking with them.. however here are a few concerns that have popped up overnight...

- The four character category thing: Yes it does seem pretty limited, however every community will have up to 3 nominations to make per category. Now when I say EVERY community I mean EVERY community. So take ( Read more... )

Woah, hey now. I don't think that's what she's saying at all.

Here's my translation: We don't mind that there are other comms out there, but we don't want to blend in either. We want to stand out and offer something different. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a bunch of them. I'm a member of a couple of them.

It's like when you create a new Buffy or Angel comm, you don't want to have the same storyline as everyone else. You want something different so that you attract more people. That's what we want to do here. We also want to try to be as fair as possible, because we've seen a lot of the back talk going on about how award comms are 'rigged' or 'popularity contests.'

And if you want to talk about not being fair, there are 5 mods here and you're lumping us all together under one. We don't all share the same opinions, and there has been a lot of discussion about making theses changes. See the user icon? I'm the only one who uses it, so please don't assume that we mods agree on everything the others say, because we don't. And that is what makes us work, because we all have different opinions and views and we all want this to work.

the reason I am lumping you together is because you all use the same username. Ever think if you don't want to be lumped then get a different name for each mod. Simple as that.

and furthermore...when you have icons that say things like "I am a mod get over yourself" that doesnt breed a kind community. That makes you to seem like the enemy.

We are not haters we are all simply voicing our opinions. I am sorry that you think otherwise. I jujst refuse to be a conformist.

I am sorry my creativity with our icons "pissed you off", however they are just icons.... and I don't mind the attacks on our methods or our icons, but when you take something personal like your comment? I am sorry but that is a bit out of place here.

We are trying to avoid drama, and I am trying to be as civil to all of these comments as possible, as well as respect you all, however you are not giving us the same respect that you are expecting to receive.

So please allow my icon to piss you off again.

I don't think the icon has anything to do with anything. It's a picture of Glory, it's suppose to be funny ...

yeah sorry not trying to argue just refusing to be a conformist and pass ridiculousness by

It dosent send a good message to people when they see them.

I laugh, like omg if glory were a mod she'd so say that. I think that's one thing you are looking way to far into making an assumption on a usericon? That's pretty ridiculous, it's like your going out of your way to piss off the mods or make them feel bad

Yes it would be something glory would say. But these are mod's in an awards communtiy. They need to be professional. In my opinion.

They are not the worst thing this community has done. I really like the orginal idea they had then they whent off switching everything around.

Then they came up with the idea of voteing for yorself.. I diddnt like it at first then I did.
Then they yet again change it.

It is aggravating, now everything that sticks out here is aggravteing me.

It's a BUFFY AWARDS COMMUNITY it's meant in all good fun. My lord. Are they not aloud to have some fun? Yes they care, they take this seriously, but come on.

If you liked the original idea I'm sure it's probably being done elsewhere (and no that's not me saying that anyones doing anything just a simple fact).

Second, they had you nom yourself not vote for yourself. Big difference.

If it's so aggravating, then leave, and stop aggrivating the one set of people who actually seem to give a flying flip about integrity of writing and giving people the pat on the back that they deserve.

Thank you, for seeing my odd sense of humor. ;)

And would we also get paid accounts for each of these user names? No, which is why we chose to go with one, like a lot of communities use. And personally I think my icon is funny, so sorry if you can't see the humor in it and are just using it as your excuse to lump us together.

And if you are refusing to be a conformist, why are you apart of an awards comm anyway? Technically you should be viewing us and all the members as sheep if you wanna go down that route.

Also, you may not trying to sound like a 'hater' but that's what you're coming across like. If you disagree with our methods leave. It's that simple. Our feelings won't be hurt.

Not all of them need to be paid. Have one be paid and assing that person to the polls making. and give the other people seperate jobs.

This is a great idea for a community getting everyhitng out of the way at one time. But you guys/girls are making things more confusing than they need to be.

In your opinion they are making it complicated, and possibly the opinions of the other people commenting, but it's obvious that this is a good idea right?

So people are just kinda pissed off and frustrated that things keep changing?

Simple solution ... leave.

(by the way, should any of the josscar mods want me to shut my opinonated mouth, feel free to tell me, I don't mind)

Ha!!

I personally don't mind supporters, however I do just want to make sure that this doesn't turn into a huge fight over an awards community.

Just keep in mind that we want everyone to have their opinions and they can express them all they want, however we are trying to just make this something fun that they can enjoy.

If they enjoy bickering and fighting, then I am glad to help.

Thanks for giving us suggestions, however I think I like the way we are handling this. All of us share the responsibilties here, and so far we are doing really well.. despite the few that aren't in agreeance with us.

I too thought that it was a great idea to get every character out of the way at once, but honestly.. could you read all of that each month? Eventually you would get sick of reading the same thing. This way the community can change with the games as they evolve.

It might take a bit more to understand the flow of it, but in long term it will end up being very rewarding.
