Fall Break Is Upon Us
And so, after the ridiculously easy Stats test this morning at 10:30, the beloved FALL BREAK descends onto campus... I can't tell you how much I've needed it. I just haven't cared anymore for the past 2 weeks. We're doing this behavior modification project for Theories of Learning (of course, I somehow find a way to talk about psychology in any setting... this has a point, I promise!), and I am classically conditioning myself to wake up to my alarm clock after only one snooze (heh, we'll see how long that lasts). We're just monitoring for baseline right now, but as the break approached, the snoozin' got worse and worse. The other day, I hit snooze 5 times before turning the thing completely off and going back to sleep... yesterday, it was 8, and I actually got up. But the long awaited break is here now... I CAN ACTUALLY SLEEP IN!! No 7am Preview Days to do... no weddings 5 hours away... beautiful.
But... the sleeping in will have to wait. I'm getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to drive to Arkansas, home of the world's greatest sleazeball, to the booming metropolis of Searcy, to visit Amanda. (Amanda NOT being the sleazeball in question... boo for Clinton!) Yucky drive, but I'm excited about seeing her!
Hmm... so I haven't written in this thing in.... I don't know, a long time. Told you in the beginning I wouldn't! Not all that much has happened, really... my parents met Nathan's parents for the first time, which turned out ok, but made me quite nervous (It's a bigger deal when the parents live 5 hours apart than if they live in the same town!) Been looking at grad schools... so far, I'm thinking I'll either end up at U. Minnesota, U. Iowa, U. Texas-Austin, or Purdue. Also getting ready for my semester abroad... we're going to have two weeks to travel at the end, and we're going to spend a week in Italy and a week in Greece! I CANNOT WAIT!! I'm sure I'll be e-mailing some of you some pictures here and there ;) I should start a mailing list or something.
All right, I'm tired of this now... no more entries for another month! I leave you with this:
