Last week end was so much fun! I went to Carowinds on Friday with all of our school's bands. I hadnt planned on riding roller coasters and neither had Rory. Well, our friends happened to really like roller coasters, while some people went on the Vortex, Rory, Mark, and I backed out. Shortly after, were kind of FORCED onto the Hurler. Blair was pushing me and Dhru was behind me, there was no escaping. Its a wooden one so it shook a bit which was kinda uncomfortable. Rory, Blair, and I abandoned the group when they decided to keep going on Top Gun. We lost Blair and had nothing to do...out of boredom I went on the Gold Rusher by myself. Not only is it a kind of boring ride, but I was ALONE making it even more boring. Chris, Mark, and I then went on every working roller coaster in the park...Rory sat and waited. Chris and Mark love riding in the front row, so we were in the front row for Top Gun, it was pretty cool. The Borg wasnt working so sadly, we didnt get to try it out. Oh and my Jazz Band recieved a rating of Excellent. I was happy to be one of the 3 out of about 60-70
kids who wasnt in a concert band, just a jazz band. I also recieved a new guitar strap, just like the old one (purple and green lizards) but with locks on the end to stay on the guitar better (my co-jazz guitarist's dad owns a guitar store).

Saturday was also fun, I ended up not going to that 5k in the morning, it might have been canceled because of weather. taylor and I went to Spring Fling that afternoon. We saw that dude Nick Cannon play for a few minutes. He sang a soung about being a jiggalo and we were cracking up. We hung out at the stage by the BB and T for a long time because Dezeray's Hammer kept getting pushed back. We were told that they would play at 7, so we went to get pizza and came back. We saw Aaron (my guitar teacher/DH singer) in the parking lot when we returned after 7, theyd been pushed back yet again. The show started around 8:15 and was definately worth the wait. Their new bassist is pretty cool.

This week should be pretty uneventful, but i have the conference track meet on friday. Woo hoo. All of my times have gotten better through the season, i just hope they dont go back up at conference or state.

So, Im talking to Susanna and she brings up a great memory from Chile. Well, we were in the airport in Santiago, Chile and she yells something in Spanish that well, uh turned some heads. To flee from the people looking at her she runs away...into the mens restroom. It wasnt that she was unable to read spanish, she just didnt look. meanwhile im at the entrance to that servicio saying "uhhh, thats the mens room" and she runs out. Good times. i also met a man named Jesus in the streets of Olmue, he was cool. And remember our buddy Juan Antonio? Yeah, we only understood about half of what he said.
