Dream On Squids

All it takes is a little boredom.

Not playing Warcraft, not browsing the internet in general, it gives back a lot of free time. Sure watching a video of a guy playing video game songs on a piano is intriguing, or playing simple puzzle flash games over and over is amusing. But I have cut down on those things. And here I am with free time. Free time enough to post a journal entry? Talk to people on AIM? Is that really so bad? Of course not.

I'm even drinking water right now. It's as simple as breaking things down to the basics. Basic necessities of life. I finished A Clockwork Orange today, the book, would have been nice to know that someone put a glossary at the back of what all that nadsat lingo actually meant. Sure I figured out most of them, but it would have made things easier.

It wasn't bad, I actually would have enjoyed reading a few more chapters if they had been written. I suppose there is some book that has additional chapters to it, but I'm not that interested. Reading has been nice, it's a great getaway from work.. while I am at work that is. Because I usually only read on my breaks. It's even better with these morning shifts because then I don't have to deal with the rowdy "high school lunch" atmosphere of the afternoon shifts in the break room.

I am consistently dumbfounded by most of the people that work at Wal-Mart, even the managers. The lack of communication, messed up rules, and general attitude problem and disrespect that these people have is beyond belief. It's like any hint of common sense is left at the door and it becomes a battle royale of "do what you want." You do a job for one manager only to later be harassed by another manager for breaking some retarded rule and you have to put it back the way it was. They cut everybody's hours and they are firing jackasses left and right, leaving a handful of people to get the work done in little time as possible. Try to get by on little as possible, a lovely way of thinking. Screw doing it right.
