I haven't updated in a while, but I come bearing good news. Wait, not just good news, but GREAT news. On Saturday I went into the city with 7 other girls on my track team. We went into Manhattan to the New Balance Track and Field Center- or The Armory. We all ran in the Archbishop Molloy Stanner Games. It is the biggest, most amazing meet that I have ever been to.

We got there around 8:00 and maybe a half hour later at the most, Sam had to go run the 55m Hurtles. She did really really well. She came in fifth place in her heat, and I think she was really happy with her time. At the same time Jasmine and "Ham and Cheese" were throwing Shot Put. They got their PR which is awesome. About three hours later (12:00) Lori and Steph had to go run the 1000m. I'm not sure exactly what their usual time was, but from looking at their run and the expression on the coaches faces, they did really well. About another four hours later (4:00), Brooke and Katrina went to go run the 1600m. They did so well. The coaches, Brook's family, and I were all jumping up and down in the stands screaming. They didn't come in first in their heat, but they still did really well. Then came me...

somewhere around 7:00, they finally called high jump. I had to go down to the track, to start streatching and stuff. Sam came down there with me, because she's awesome. When they called us, all the high jump girls made their way to the high jump pit. Just then my coaches came down from the stands, near me for support. We started off, I was choosen to go first. I cleared 4'0", then I cleared 4'2", then I falted on 4'4", but I got it the second time. By this time, I was all alone, everyone else had gotten out. Then I cleared 4'6" the FIRST TIME ( if you cant tell, I don't usually clear this height, but I did). Then, I cleared 4'8". I had NEVER cleared that...EVER, not even in practice. But anyway, I ended up coming in first, when I thought that I was going to get my butt kicked. i was the only person on my team to get a medal, ever. WOW, i'm so happy...AND, my ranking went up!!!
