(no subject)
I know it's been absolute aeons since my last LJ post, so I finally shifted my arse and got to it =]
Well, I don't know if most of you know my main news, which is that hopefully come June...
Sophie ( t_w_a_drummer ) and I are going to Japan!!
Yeahhh XD
Basically the day after our last AS Level exam, we're getting the plane to Japan to stay with her aunt (who's a teacher there) for ten days!! She lives just outside of Tokyo so yeah... we're basically going to be all over the place =] It's not booked or anything yet, but I've started raising money; if I can get the money for the plane ticket my mum'll give me spending money. So I need about £569, and I have £367 so far!
Anyway, yesterday I had a Fun Day Thingy to raise money for that:
All week I've been making cakes (by Saturday morning I had more or less 220 pieces of cake/cookie/brownie etc), so the idea was that people paid £4 to come and then 20p to buy cakes (I made £106.02 in the end!)
And the other idea was a massive sheet of paper we set up in the back garden with painted and stuff, and we all fingerpainted us being at the height of maturity. Which looked something like this!:
Sophie didn't quite get the hang of fingerpainting...
Yes, she is hanging from my washing line standing in a bucket in that last picture...
In the end we all painted each other instead of the paper =] Yeah, people had to catch buses and trains back home all covered in war paint, haha.
And the boys got involved in some homoerotic procedure that involved hitting each other with big sticks:
THEN we sang karaoke to Aqua CDs!!
Me: (to Barbie Girl) Oh, I'm having so much fun!
(Ken: Well Barbie, we're just getting started!)
Jamie: Yes Barbie... so am I...?
Aww <3 To summarize- having a seriously good weekend ^___^ Haven't been this happy since, er, last summer for ages!
Oh- and I'm just about to put up more of my NaNoWriMo novel Mirror, Mirror at the journal

PS!: Anyone catch episode one of the new series of Doctor Who? Yay or nay? I thought Freema Whatsit seemed pretty good but nothing on Rose. And how cute is David Tennant, teehee. I didn't get as euphoric from it as I get from Torchwood, but I was pretty distracted at the time cause people kept leaving and I was torn between being hostessly and REALLY wanting to watch it with Soph =P x
