oh nine, oh no: redux
sas and i moved into our room yesterday. my mom and i drove up to boston in the early morning. stupid though it was, i found myself anxiously watching the trees fly by on the highway - this will be my last time making this move-in drive. even sas was reminiscing as we struggled with our recalcitrant furniture in the boston summer heat. i've moved in on the same day every year, and sas was with me last year; funny how we thought we had it bad then. i had recently traveled to boston to drop off a couch that i found lying on the side of the road....getting that couch from sas' apartment to our place on beacon street was quite the undertaking. with an actual crowd cheering us on, we managed to load it into the elevator - and getting it into the room itself was just as difficult. my momma helped out a lot too, for which i am extremely grateful.
much much later on, with the heat of the day behind us, we ventured to sunset cantina with some friends. adam della buono came out too, which was great, and after the bar we all moved a block down to my friend dory's apartment for a few more drinks. if this is any indication of what the school year is going to be like, i am glad.
