So much has happened in the past few days that it is difficult to describe. I've met a bunch of really cool people, gotten a bank account and a commuter rail pass, embarrassed myself several times with poor use of japanese, and generally had a good time. The sheer variety of people that I have met has been incredible - people from North Carolina and Singapore mixing with those from Germany and Korea. We're all incredibly far from home and bonding extremely well, perhaps because of our shared airline mileage. I am looking into a getting a japanese phone and also cooking instruments. While food is really inexpensive here, and a lot of people just eat out all the time because of it, I really can't afford to all the time. Without a job. Maybe I'll just sell my body though, which could be profitable and fun. I'd probably make more money fishing, actually. Ah well. Tokyo is a crazy place, and there will definitely be defining pictures of the madness at times; for right now, I need to look up a few recipes and hit the sack. Another long day will probably follow this one, but I am highly enjoying all of it.
