…I lied, when I said there would be no more about Lumiere, Caelan, Simon, Arthur, and Felicia. Characters will come and go on no basis whatsoever, depending on how much writing I want to do on a given day.
5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
…this scale is not actually optimal, since it a) completely ignores asexuality and b) doesn't include romantic orientations. I'd have to have four different scales, and that's just too many numbers. I'll give a description instead. It's easier.
Lumiere is asexual and homoromantic.
Caelan is asexual and homoromantic, but chooses not to get into relationships with people because of an oath he took as a cleric which states that he will put no one and nothing above his god.
Simon is pansexual and panromantic, not particularly leaning one way or another. He'll flirt with nearly anyone he finds attractive (which is not everyone), but rarely follows through.
Arthur is demisexual and demiromantic (does that exist?), by which I mean that usually he doesn't get involved in that sort of thing, but makes very occasional exceptions.
Felicia is almost entirely heterosexual, with occasional attraction to other girls. She'd be willing to be in a relationship with another girl, I think, as long as it didn't get past kissing, but she definitely prefers guys.
Alex is heterosexual and heteroromantic. I don't think he's ever looked at another guy that way.
Felix is currently a bit confused about himself. He considered himself straight, but is currently in a romantic and sexual relationship with another guy, so he's trying to figure himself out. I would say he's mostly heterosexual, with occasional exceptions, and heteroromantic, again with occasional exceptions.
Kaylee is almost entirely heterosexual and heteroromantic. She appreciates good-looking people, whatever gender they are, but notices guys far more often than she does girls.
Miriam is almost entirely homosexual and homoromantic.
Adrian refuses to answer this question and is raising a snarky eyebrow at me, like "Really, author?" I think he honestly doesn't care about what gender his partner is, but prefers not to get involved in messy things like relationships. So, that'd be pansexual and aromantic…? With occasional exceptions.
Mikaela is very, very biased against men, doesn't much like women either, and thinks relationships are bullshit. I'd say she's asexual and aromantic.
Aya is comfortably bisexual and biromantic, with a slight leaning towards girls rather than guys.
