OOC: Comment notifications

Nov 21, 2008 16:04

So, for reasons that I can't understand, I'm not getting notifications on all comments. I don't know why, and it's not even from the same muses each time, so I can't figure it out. Upshot is -- if I owe you a reply, please let me know, because I might be sitting here thinking I'm waiting on youAh, technology, now reliable you are. *glares at ( Read more... )

It isn't gmail, it's LJ. I'm working off of yahoo and getting the same crap. I've replied to everything that I know of. ;)

And seriously, we need to address why they only have Mary. My muse is getting more action than I am at the moment. That's just fundamentally wrong.

Yeah, my muse, too. I totally agree that it's fundamentally wrong, but I'm single at the moment and unless there's anyone really interesting at the bar tonight, I still think Dean's gonna be getting more than me for a while.

I don't know why they only have Mary. Ran afoul of a cure somewhere, or something? No idea.

I've got a husband and a girlfriend (which, for the record, they are totally ok with each other since they're friends. I'm an ethical slut.) and I'm STILL not getting any. He's busy babysitting morons, and she's in NY.

Demon with a grudge against Dean after the whole stopping of the Apocalypse? I hear knives tend to do serious damage, and we don't know for sure that Alistair is gone for good.

My polyamorous friend is reading the Ethical Slut right now. *grins* I think I get the book next when she's done, she's kind of convinced that it'll be good for my commitment issues. That sucks thought, love, that they're both out of reach. That's not helpful at all.

We don't. We need to look into that. But right now, I'm drunk and headed to the metro to go to the bar, so I'll talk to you about that when I get back. Yay, being a broke-ass working grad-student and drinking the liquor in the house before heading to the bar.

Go have fun, and get home safe! ;)

*Grins* Fun was had, home was safely found, and thank god for the metro. I've never lived this close to it before -- a three block walk as opposed to a twenty-minute drive. It's nice, and weird, to be able to all but walk out the door and hop a train somewhere.

Yeah, it's a delicious novelty for me still. I've always lived in the outer DC "metro" area, outside the beltway and well past the actual metro, getting on toward where the county starts getting rural (well, rural for Montgomery County) (except for the year I lived in LA, which was also a drive everywhere type of city) so I'm used to being in my car. I still feel really strange when I go somewhere and I didn't drive to get there, though. It's weird.

(yes, that was TWO sets of back to back parenthetical clauses, good times! *grins*)

I couldn't handle living in DC. It was bad enough when we were in Quantico and had to drive anywhere near it. *Shudders* SO glad we got the hell out of there.

The people, the traffic, or the lovely swamp humidity that can't ever get blown away 'cause there nowhere for it to blow to?

All of the above? LOL.

*grins* Fair enough. I get tired of this area and want to leave, but I've only left it the once, and then came back (in great part because the company I got a job with in LA wound up cutting half their staff nation wide and closing a part of their business (print media advertising sales, and print media is not so much doing well domestically so they cut that side of the business, and I got hacked off with it) and that is *not* a fun city to be broke in.

I like here, for the most part (minus the traffic and the humidity and some of the people who are way, way way too impressed with themselves), but I want to see and live in some other places before I'm like "and here's for me".

NC. I love being here... even if Fayetteville is.. but whatever. Wilmington and Swansboro are gorgeous. Traffic isn't half bad *compared to DC anyway. LOL* Beach, laid back, and oh yeah- Jensen Ackles occasionally makes an appearance. LOL

I haven't been down to NC too much. But the beaches are fantastic -- the outer banks are gorgeous. I just went down there for the first time this year, and it was fantastic. On a side note -- does Mr. Ackles just come there to chill, or what's he doing ( ... )

My Father in Law is in Austin. Loves it there, and I'm sure it helps that Texas is the J2 state.

Far as Wilmington goes- apparently he went to hang out with Danneel and cast of OTH in some bars. The pictures were... very nice.

It is the J2 state. I like the program but I've never been to the campus, but I have to say that a part of me is like "it's a big state -- they grew those two down there, they can grow some more". I've got a couple of friends in Austin for various reasons, and man, they're all about it.

I've never really seen OTH (Mary loves it, though, and Sophia Bush is pretty awesome in other things I've seen her do -- The Hitcher, Stay Alive) and I didn't realize they actually film in Wilmington. And I like the sound of these "very nice" pictures.
