(no subject)
1. I've just finished reading The Book Thief and I Am The Messenger, both by Markus Zusak. The first, I can't even... Seriously, it was fantastic, but what broke my heart the most was this:
At first, Liesel could not talk. Perhaps it was the bumpiness of love she felt for him. Or had she always loved him? It's likely. Restricted as she was from speaking, she wanted him to kiss her. She wanted him to drag her hand across and pull her over. it didn't matter where. Her mouth, her neck, her cheek. Her skin was empty for it, waiting.
Because, god, I've been there. And, oh. Also, the second book, meh. It did little for me.
2. I love tv. I'm not exactly caught up on everything, but I'm slowly working my way towards it. And it takes up so much of my free time, too. But that's okay. Everything has been really good so far, with the exception of Glee. Which just didn't do it for me.
3. You know what's great about visiting family? The free food and unsolicited life advice. For real. Fruit basket cake and an hour long lecture on credit scores. I adore my relatives to no end.
4. I can not write. Every time I attempt to write fic my mind turns to mush. However, today I had a break-though. It looks like this: The light coming through the window is a runny white; milky. Do not laugh. That took me forever to force out, okay.
5. Fall is fast approaching!!! I get to layer up and wear cute boots. It's going to be glorious. And I will embrace the season with scarves and umbrellas and ear-muffs.
6. Also, not that anyone cares, Billie Piper is so gorgeous it hurts to look at her.
