This year I will:

  • Drop ten pounds. For real. I’m going to exercise and everything. Completely serious. Kind of. I’ll probably stare at some celery and will the pounds to melt away.
  • Eat better. No KFC. No In-n-Out. No Weinershnitzel. No Starbucks. No gas station coffee. No sweets. No sir, not for me. I’m going to eat carrots and apples. Maybe.
  • Do my homework early. Yup, no more waiting until the last minute. No more waiting until two in the morning on the day a paper is due to get started. That’s right, I’m going to start way early. No joke.
  • Try to be patient when it comes to kids. And not snap at them. And not give them the wrong answers when they ask questions just to see the confused look on their faces. Ha. I might do this. I’m still debating.
  • Clean. My room should not reflect the inside of my head. I will pick up my clothes, towels, books, and magazines. No more stepping on breakables. No more not being able to see the top of my desk. I would like to be able to shut my closet doors. That would be great, because sleeping with them open freaks me out.
  • Read more. All those books sitting around? Yeah, I’m going to pick them up and get to it. Except Anna Karenina. That book can burn in hell for all I care.
  • Stop watching surgery on tv. There is only so much fat I can take. Yuck.
  • Floss. Because it makes you live longer, and I’m shooting for a world record.
