Shawn came home this afternoon. he had been gone since sunday morning so it had been just me and the boys for two full days. it's actually not a lot different than normal except that i went to sleep by myself. a lot of days he goes to work before the kids get up and comes home after they go to sleep but he's almost always home by the time i go to bed. the past two days i really just took it easy. the laundry was done, the house is mostly clean and i just hung out. i didnt make any big dinners like i do when Shawn is here. i really just sat on the couch and played on my computer. it was awesome. AWESOME. i so needed a little time off. the boys were good, we didn't have any real issues, though i did let them watch a lot of TV. it was nice to be able to sit and have a little peace. i am glad to have my hubby home though. the boys are glad to have him home. he's got the next two days off so that will be fun. the kids have school but i like having him to myself a little too.
this afternoon on the way home from getting Gray at school i started to feel a little sore throat coming on. i said "mommy's got a little sore throat." Gray said "do you need a drink of water?" i told him that i thought i might. Gray said "when we get home i'll get you a drink of water, Mommy." and you know what? when we got home, he did. it was so sweet. he got a cup off the counter and filled it with water from the fridge. it was so sweet.
