30 Days of Night:Film Adaptation

The movie version of "30 days of Night" was kool. It measured up to the feel and look of the comic nicely. Appropriately dark and creepy with a few jolts here and there. Plus good gore. Ben Foster fucking rocked the screen as always. God, I fucking love that man. So talented. I think the Eben/Stella relationship worked better as the happy couple trying to have a baby thing than the couple having problems and splitting up at the start of the feature until there's a crisis that makes them see how much they love each other thing that we've seen in films like only a million fucking times. I hope the sequel is based on/inspired by "Dark Days" so we can see Stella as a strong, kick-ass vampire slayer instead of the semi-dumb, blonde, whimpering little girl she was here. That stuff Steve Niles said about Melissa George portaying her as "a super strong female character" was total bullshit. The vampires looked good but I hope they don't have the same appearance that they did in this film 24/7 since vampires easily masquerade as humans in the graphic novels and short stories.
