Another update in the life of this geek, but not a gif story...
So things have been kinda up and down in the land of Stevelle. After I got off my Spring Break, it was back to the world of school and studying. With that said, my ass got kicked in Tai Chi on Thursday (only cos we have had that class in about 3 weeks) and the other two classes were okay. I still hate Government, and I got a 98 on my first English paper. And what makes that grade even better was the fact that my professor loved my title (which I came up with while watching Buffy- it was 'Once More, With Feeling'...yeah, I write school papers while rocking out to OMWF).
Among a few other things that happened in my social life, I rocked out to the Repo! soundtrack with my buddies Blake and bobbymcg (which was on whole different level of epic- and it was decided that we had to record ourselves singing that soundtrack). I saw Sucker Punch with Blake on Friday, and that movie was an epic WTF- the movie was wicked awesome, and it took me until the end to understand what exactly was going on.
Ru got fixed on Friday, and it turns out that he's not a very good listener. The drugs didn't make him all groggy like it did with Copper and Kandi when they were fixed years ago, and Ru didn't exactly take it easy. Actually, he's still not taking it easy. This puppy is jumping up and down and acting like he didn't get fixed, and I keep worrying that he's gonna rip both incisions (yeah, Ru had to get 2 things of stitches- turns out one of his testicles didn't drop, which is weird for a 6 month old puppy). Apart from that, Ru seems to have acquired the taste for geckos, crane flies, worms, grubs and basically anything that crawls and what not.
In other news, my brother is hating/loving his job. He came home all cranky last night and that sparked an argument between him and my parents (although he was really mad about the fact that he couldn't go to Hooters with his friends- it was 8 at night and he isn't comfortable driving at night). I still have no job, and it's becoming harder and harder to find a place that is hiring -sad face-
And the tension in my house is no more. Why? My grandpa packed up and left this morning before me or my brother woke up. He drove to Colorado this morning and yeah...things have been real complicated and awkward and tense these last eight months or so. So he left. And that's that.
Because I don't wanna end this on a weird note, here's some news that I'm looking forward to:
April 1- Insidious comes out (which I'm seeing with Blake), and then after that me and him are gonna head back to my house and watch the first episode of Starz's Camelot.
April 7- the last season of Secret Diary of a Call Girl airs on Showtime and I'm super excited for that.
April 15- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 comes out on DVD, and Scream 4 comes out.
April 22- I turn 19! Words cannot express how happy I am about this
April 23- New season of Doctor Who! And I learned that Matt Smith signed on for another season -dances-
And then a few other things that are coming out that I'm excited for: The Hangover 2, Pirates 4, HP and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, The Avengers, Green Lantern and new season of Torchwood.
In other entertainment news (and didn't that make me sound like I'm working for E! or something?):
Amy Adams was cast as Lois Lane in the new Superman movie. I'm actually excited to see her in this movie, dunno why but I am.
Sarah Michelle Gellar's new TV series is gonna be airing soon. The show seems really interesting.
Eliza Dushku has a new comedy coming on TV. Again, excited to see this.
And the one TV related thing that I learned that left me too excited to accurately convey how excited I was...-drum roll- NBC is gonna give this new comedy a try (Free Agents, based off the UK show). But that's not what makes this news so awesome. The reason I'm way excited is because Anthony Head is gonna be on the show (apparently he's playing the same role that he did in the UK version), and if NBC picks up the show ASH is gonna be offered a full time role on the show (or he can just stick with the special guest role that he's set up for during the trial run of the show). But yeah, learning this made me excited and then I had to go watch the episodes of Merlin I had recorded.
