today's work day went by super fast! in the morning i learned about my Benefits and Stock Options at Canadian Tire. Wha?? stocks?? numbers??...shoot why they making me think?!?! =P jus kidding, i'm actually looking forward to figuring out all that stuff. i feel like a kid in a candy store with the benefits stuff, i think i can pick to get massages! woo-hoo! then i bussed back up to scarbz and met up with the boys for my lunch break. we had some good 'ol mickey D's. yummm...greasy food. then spent the afternoon at a CT warehouse.

ok...freakin warehouse.
so there's this big event coming up next week that they have these hand-out-give-a-way bags for but they have to be assembled first of course. when i signed on to volunteer for this thing i pictured a nice clean room with carpet, some tables and chairs set up while stuffing things in and socializing with people around me. oh, how i was so so so wrong! it was manual labour in a dirty hot old warehouse...literally. if i had known what to expect, it would've been a better experience cuz i didn't mind the work that much. i would have at least worn clothes and shoes i didn't care to get dirty, instead of one of my favourite shirts and jeans. i would've brought gloves or Purell too! it was repetitive work: i took half filled bags off a table and filled them into boxes and stacked the boxes for the next person to take them. it jus got hard cuz i kept having to bend down or go look around for more boxes and lift them. my clothes and hands were black by the end of the day. BUT there was a highlight! at the end we were allowed to take a whole bunch of FREEBIES!!! I LOVE FREE STUFF! i got like 5 loreal hairbrushes, 50 little floss containers, about 75 sharpie markers, some mr. clean products and a bunch of other little things. i came home and showed my sisters...it was like Christmas!

from that experience (and i know it was only a peak of what manual labour can be), i have a new found respect for all my friends who work at Natrel. manual work is hard! goooo natrel boys =P

anyhoo, now i'm fully awake after a 2 hour nap but it's almost my bed time. =(
