Anyone feel like flexing the nerd muscle? I've been trying to install a DOS program on XP, and it isn't working.
I've been trying to install a strictly DOS program on my XP computer, but it doesn't work. Compatibility mode didn't do anything; I even went into the memory tab under properties and set all the memory to auto instead of 0. When I run the installation file from windows the command prompt pops up and says that there is insufficient memory. I guess the command prompt isn't DOS, so it didn't work either. I tried booting with a DOS boot disk, but when the command prompt comes up it refuses to read the C drive, which is where the program is. I'm not even sure that what I'm looking at is really DOS at all. Short of repartitioning my computer with DOS, I'm out of ideas. Anyone else have any??
