ahh yes, on some message boards that I frequent they have do not feed the troll signs/graphics- not that it is trolling, but it seems to be provoking a strong opinion from several community members.

Best if I ignore it, lest I open up my mouth and let anyone have it.

I think a lot of us are reading too much into this. Agree to disagree and both sides should quit insulting the other. First off, if you don't like the pic posting, you don't have to participate. Second, if someone voices dissent I don't think hostility is in order. Neither party is completely in the right. I will say that this is a community and as such will do whatever it wants to. Right now, the pics are a popular theme, and I think that's fine. Most of the ones I've seen have illustrated nerdy qualites, so I feel that's within relevance to the community. I'm not so into the half-naked stuff, so therefore I have not posted any. However, I don't bash anyone who chooses to do so.

It just really made me upset. But I'm done with this topic and if people don't want to participate, that's fine by me. I just felt it unnecessary that someone had to go as far as insulting the community members who *had* participated instead of just leaving the community.

Look, i'm posting because i'm usually the first person in this community asking everybody to play nice...and i don't really make exceptions to that.

Chemchick, you know i love you and respect you a lot. I just don't see it necessary to start flinging insults.

I agree that the posting of pictures is awesome, and that we should totally show off our sexiness and nerdy glory. But i think that we have to be at least a little sensitive that some people are getting weirded out by it, and that they are entitled to their opinions as much as we are to ours. Yes, i think that if someone has a problem with the community and the mods, then the can see themselves to the door, but i don't think that we need to be egging them on.

Maybe it's just my personality, i'm not a fan of controversy and confrontation and find that it's usually easiest just to let situations drop. I'll be whiney and whimpy about it, but can't we all just respect each other?
