HMMMM. I think they might be just reporting the same IMDb rumor. Possibly.

And not gonna lie, the Little Red Riding Hood movie sounds amazing. And Gary Oldman will be in it! I'm kind of excited about it.

Anyway, I just can't wait for official casting info.

I know what you mean. How can the character of either Mel or Wanda be fully realized, if both will be played by one character? How can their dynamic (and ultimately their friendship) be portrayed?

Have you ever watched the TV show Dollhouse? That kind of shows how it could be done, the "Dolls" in the show have to play multiple characters, a few of them have to play multiple characters at the same time and they manage to pull off the different personalities even though they're played by the same actors (there's also one character who has been shown by different actors, showing that when Wanda moves to her own body if the actress is good enough then it could be done convincingly). Plus, they could use a voice over for Mel/Wanda. =]

In the casting call, the role of Wanderer is a voice over, so your example of DH is fitting, except there would be a voice in her head as well, lol. It'll be confusing, but I think that's the best way to do it.
