Russian Bread Pudding

I created this recipe as a dessert to bring to a friend's house. She was planning a Russian themed dinner party, so I thought this would be a fun southern twist on a popular dessert!!

I make my blintzes from scratch, but unless you have a crepe pan and a lot of patience buying them pre-made in the freezer section is easiest.



Russian Bread Pudding

6 frozen cheese blintzes
6 frozen cherry blintzes
1/4 lb. butter
4 eggs
1/4 cup orange juice
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Melt butter in glass baking dish.
Dip blintzes in butter, coating each side.
Blend eggs, orange juice, sour cream, vanilla, sugar and salt until smooth.
Pour over blintzes and bake for 50 minutes or until golden brown.
