revamp!
so, i swore that when the next redesign contest came up for project rooftop i was going to do my best not to wait until the last possible minute...
opinions can vary as to if i succeeded in the endeavor or not, but the important thing is i'm done with mine.
and shockingly, i've only seen one other person's redesign so far.
has the whole of livejournal decided that vampirella is boring?
well, she is.
but i couldn't let that stop me from pressing on.
if you've never looked into vampirella's origin story i can't say that you're missing too much. i was always of the opinion that her popularity was entirely due to the percentage of clothing that she regularly wore.
and i must say i still stand by that.
for my design i opted for a haitian witch doctor sort of look. i kept the yellow bat on her hips, but instead of a silk screened logo it's a mummified bat dyed yellowish! ha!
and i have her carrying around some severed fingers.
in her current story she works with a scientist who gives her a serum that keeps her from craving blood. and i figure the severed fingers serve the same purpose, a quick snack if she needs it. ew.
