upper management shuffle
my boss, the chap who hired me to do this little job that keeps me busy week in and week out, has be transferred east to a branch in upstate new york.
i spent the better part of a night working on a banner for his going away party at the office. you know, instead of doing the work that i had been hired to do.
and then, alas, he never got to come in and see it! family emergency of some kind.
oh well, we ate his cake anyway.
snooze you lose, boss man.
the shift after mine complained that he wasn't "paunchy" enough. i guess this would have been the perfect opportunity to be unflattering and get away with it. next time.
they also pointed out that i had left out a cigarette, so they cut a little hole in the banner and added one.
