And it's no wonder that I'm still here..
ok.. so i've been sick and i definately had a sinus infection but it went away.. or at least i think it did.. but anyway. by break has been just here.. friday i slept in and didn't go shopping because i had hs practice at 3 for Pirates the next day. practice was soo easy but yeah. then i went to bed really early and also did some stuff like get my bag ready before i went to bed.
Saturday was a longggg day. I woke up at 6:01 to Boulevard of Broken Dreams.. and I didn't really feel like getting up cuz i knew everyone else was sleeping in, and that song is so depressing.. so it was just like.. ehh when i woke up. so i got ready and then went to the bus. the bus ride was pretty quiet.. but by the time we were there the bus was pretty loud. at first i listened to my ipod but it keeps skipping so there must be sometihng wrong with it so after a while i gave up and started talking to Kate Johnson and Kate Kosenick. so we get there and everything is carpet like around the pool and stuff.. it was kind of gross and i didn't have sandals but o well. I swam in the 200 im relay.. swimming breaststroke.. which was a horrible move by jess. and then i swam 200 free and was going into finals in 3rd. then i swam 100 fly.. and beat Laura Stark.. and so i was in deep trouble because of the fact that she's AMAZING at fly.. but o well.. and then i swam the 400 free relay and split 55.. so no one else had to try.. we just had to make it back to finals and we did. but this meet was soo much fun! we kept all of our stuff in a room like an open room and we moved the tables and put all of our stuff in the corner and our sleeping bags and stuff. and we were trying to think of a ghetto quote but we couldn't.. and we told so many funny jokes and o it was so much fun! and then after the 400 free relay we had like an hour to sleep.. so i was walking with mary and she goes.. NAP TIME.. YESSSSS it was so funny.. so we went into the room and i ate a bagel with butter and then listened to my ipod and layed down in my sleeping bag and i couldn't sleep so i get up and i wanted to ask jess and sharkey if i was in the breast in the relay and they were like.. go back to sleep.. but i couldn't fall asleep.. and then i got a clementine and ate it. Brittany Larkin had the funniest thing on.. it was like one of those sleeper suit things.. omg it was sooo funny.. and then i was sitting by Kate and she told me this really funny story and i started crying cuz i was laughing so hard and then everyone was looking at us and we told it and amanda was laughing too.. omg it was soo funny! i texted so many people during that meet tho.. i was so bored during nap time. lol.. so everyone woke up and i got a new towel to use and got my sweatshirt and pants which i hung up to dry and we went back into the freezing cold pool. and our 200 im relay (i didn't swim in it) got 2nd to the mount.. and then 200 free was up. i was so nervous cuz i wanted to break 2:00.. so i look across the pool and everyone's like.. YEAH HELOCK!! so i dive in and this girl that goes 1:59 is next to me. so i was like ill keep up with her. so for the first 100 and then i started getting a head.. and all of a sudden it hit me and i was like.. i really have to keep this lead.. so i started sprinting as hard as i could and i was a body length a head of her and i finished and i looked at the clock and it was a 1:58.. and i was like.. omg.. and then they did awards and i got a plack. it was suchh an exciting experience for me. so then 200 im and laura stark broke the record in the im. and the 50 free.. sarah papay took in 24 something. and then 100 fly.. o 100 fly.. so i dove in a laura was a head of me and she just got really far a head so i was going for second. and me and brittany reyes were neck and neck but then i got her at the end and i went 1:01.4.. and they did awards again and i got a plack!! and then everyone else did soo well in their race!!! and i was over talking to my mom and dad and mrs. sharkey comes over and says the newspaper wants to interview you! and i was like ok! so this guy was so nice unlike the last guy. he was from the star ledger tho. and then i was done and i sat with erin and we talked about how we missed the st. joe's dance so we're going to the next one.. but it depressed us both.. cuz we were both like.. it would have been so much fun and i know so many people there because of my brother. but o well. and then the 400 free relay.. o god.. before me and mary were singing wonderful.. and i was like "and its no wonder that im still here.. and its no wonder that im still here.. and all these .. that left me here" like we're still here and going to kick butt! it was sooo exciting.. i lead off and split a 55 again and then amanda went and did well and mary did well and then jillian dives in and went like a 56 i think.. but sarah papay must have went like a 53 because she caught up and omg.. it was so close but we won by like 3 tenths.. it was sooo close!! and then after everyone came over and said congrats and me and mary were standing behind caitlin daly who came to watch.. and i was like can we get her wet.. so me and mary fill our caps and pour them on caitlin.. haha.. but then caitlin got another pair of clothes from someone.. then they gave out the plagues and trophies and most valuable swimmer which went to Laura Stark.. and Scotch Plains got 3rd!! i think that's the highest we've ever done!! YAY!!! and then we were driving home and we stopped at wendy's.. it was soo much fun and funny.. haha.. and then we kept driving home and we sang songs and jess was very happy with all of our swims!! then i took jillian home and my cousin was at my house.. and she was like are you going to your brother's game.. and i was like.. well i guess.. so i took a 2 second shower put mousse in my hair and did it on the way there.. i was quite rushed..
so we get to the game and we're missing sean stevens, chris, and all of these key people.. and we beat ridge 5 - 1 last time.. but we were missing so many people.. and we ended up losing 8-1.. ehh not good.. and the other team was being so mean and saying that st joes sucked. and then i started screaming.. "Who won last time? and who's higher ranking then you?" and they were being soo mean.. and the refs weren't calling any trips or holding.. and all the st joe's kids came out and they were so upset. so my brother took my cousin home and then he sat in his car listening to music to think. i think that's so sad. he knows that st. joes is losing key people next year. but they'll get people that will sub in for them..
then this morning i woke up and it said i was the first person from spf to win an individual race in 4 years! so im quite excited!
