oh thank f**k, something else to concentrate on other than itching
A rare non-locked post to say YES OH YES we've moved, at last. I am simultaneously relieved and frustrated. The house is full of fleas, as the previous owners' cats were clearly careless packers and forgot to take their 1000 friends with them.
We've sprayed every surface with top brand toxicity and yet they survive. Now it's time for Rentakill (or marmite, as someone advised me earlier. Apparently they hate the stuff. You don't see that in the ads.)
But the fleas can engage their natural instincts and run and take a jump for a moment because my attention is now diverted by the early arrival of our broadband connection. I did fear an evening of itchy unpacking, with only radio 4 for company (Nick's working a night shift and I can't even fall back on QVC, as Sky can't plumb us in until the 12th of October) but PlusNet has Made It All Better with their delicious 8mb goodness.
We'll have a housewarming when the last flea has been evicted...
