Music

It's darned annoying having a drummer but no drum kit. It's kind of like having cake without the icing. People just expect you to have a drum kit because you play the drums - it just seems  so straight forward, doesn't it?
So we're on the look out for a second hand drum kit / set of cymbals + snare + bass pedal + stool.
We might just fuck the whole thing and buy electric drums. shrug.

Let this be a warning to any musician ever offered to play at the Water Rats  - they don't even bother providing your drummer with a fucking stool.

So for those interested in my music and up for coming to see me and Ian play (Greta is currently on a round-the-world trip - there is lots of new stuff nonetheless), there are two confirmed gigs:

27th March at the Half Moon, Herne Hill supporting Madam
(who is fucking lovely, i've only known of her for a week but im starting to idolise the woman. Definitely check her out if you like a bit of PJ Harvey, blonde redhead..: www.myspace.com/madammusic)
The pizza is very good at this place so don't be put off by the thought of having to choose to bus or train it there.
It'll probably be about £6 and we'll be on about 9.30 (hopefully seeing as i might have to work til 8 that night.)

The second is exactly a month later.

27th April at The Water Rats, Kings Cross
This venue is beautiful but it gets mighty packed.
It's just down the road from kings cross station so slightly easier than herne hill.
There will be a guestlist for £6 entry before 7.45, after that it's £8 (It's one of those crazy things, sorry..) If you want to be on it let me know before the night.
We're on at 8.15.

So, lots to occupy myself with. As well as a whole terms worth of tuition fees to pay despite me only being at UEA for 2 months almost 2 years ago. I don't know whether to buzz or stress.
