Back to work.
Today was my first day back at work after almost five weeks. I'm walking it for the moment; it's good to try and keep myself active that way, and I'm keeping up my routine of going for a walk at lunchtime too. The amount of actual work I can do remains to be seen, but I think I've had enough of just sitting round the house.
Also drove the car this weekend for the first time since the accident. Only as far as Asda (2 miles-ish), and I'll be doing as little driving as possible for a while yet, but it's good to know I can now shop for myself again. And I have my next checkup next week; good to know I can drive to that too. Progress happens.
It took a good half an hour before any of my co-workers noticed the change of hairstyle. Or at least figured out what was nagging them. But when the senior secretary came down to give me the sick leave forms to sign she noticed right away.
