Jerry Falwell is not at all well. He is, in fact, dead.
Falwell's long history of hate-mongering in the name of Jesus is neatly summed up in his response to the 9/11 attacks:
"I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"
And Fred Phelps has stated that he will protest the funeral (an activity he normally reserves for victims of AIDS or anti-gay hate killings), calling Falwell a false prophet on the grounds that he wasn't bigoted enough.
