Over the last week or so, the BBC website has been running a nostalgiafest of old public information films, including a long running but ultimately fruitless attempt to track down a long-lost film about reversing your car, starring a character called Reginald Molehusband.
Evidently some people have found this amusing and have submitted some films of their own. And the Beeb have kindly put up their favourites at
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4770268.stm They cover subjects ranging from the serious (identity theft, power wastage due to TVs left on standby) to the bizarre (zombies, and pantomime dame attacks). Though my personal favourite has to be Pylon Peril.
Is it just me, or does one of the characters in Driving Backwards is Dangerous look suspiciously like
klonecaid?
