Before Xmas I drove to Manchester and back. Around New Year I drove to Wales and back. I am the only one of my family or my co-workers to have encountered no problems with snow at all, and none of them traveled more than about 15 miles. Having said that, it's now started snowing heavily again, and I've got to drive tomorrow in order to get to a rehearsal. Woohoo.
One of my co-workers had a "Word Of The Day" tear-off calendar last year, and would occasionally regale us with the definition of an obscure and bizarre word. This year he has a "Joke Of The Day" calendar, which appears to consist of rejects from a Christmas cracker factory. Yesterday's joke was:
Q: What do you call a thousand rabbits dancing the conga backwards?
A: A receding hare line.
He didn't read out today's because he said it was too terrible.
