The worst bred animal in existence
So for probably the worst track record of any lifeguard at the pool i have now dealt with five major first aid incidents in my three year tender there. And every single one of them is due to the absolute arrogance and stupidity of the above title. Of course if you haven't guessed that would be humans. Every single one of the majors i have dealt with was because some stupid person didn't stop doing what they knew was dangerous but did it anyway. From trying a new trick on a BMX bike to drinking to the point where you cant feel anything, i have dealt with them all. Two drunk first nations gentleman passed out outside the pool. The BMX back flip that broke a kids wrist at the skate park. A kid throwing another kid on top of the head of yet another kid and hurting his neck, spinal to those who know the lingo. And a gentle man who thought it would be a smart idea to spend a half hour in an 104 degree hot tub for over half an hour when he has never sat in a hot tub before ever. (Damn Tourists). Anywho i am so thankful that come August 18th i will no longer be a lifeguard at the Terrace Aquatic Centre and am literally counting the hours until i am gone from that hell hole. There is exactly 1,229 hours and 46 minutes before it is done and over from the point that i write this sentence. Scary huh. Anywho i would love to continue to rant but i must run.
