  • The Prestige
Christian Bale. Hugh Jackman. Christopher Nolan.

I only have to see those names together and I go nuts. The film is The Prestige, based on the World Fantasy Award (1996) winning novel of the same name by Christopher Priest. And it has a very interesting synopsis...

    hoorah Victoriana! )

It is indeed a time of celebration. I can only say that it is LONG overdue.

Ode to Vaughn

That fair-haired moron,
That one we hate so well,
Has now come to rest,
Has now gone to hell.

We first got to know him,
As puppy-eyed CIA-flunky,
And now - I'm sure - we all wish,
We could have traded him for a real dog.
A real beast.
Something infinitely more spunky.

But now that he's dead,
(20 shots in the chest)
We find ourselves in mourning.
But at least we will no longer have to watch,
All that Sydney-fawning.

Ha. Forget meter, rhyme... anything right. I'm just daaaancing on his grave. Is that too macabre for me? Maybe I should tone it down.

I was reading it aloud. Rhyming "Vaughn" with "moron", masterful. :)
