TNT's "Falling Skies".
Is anyone watching the alien-invasion series Falling Skies? I marathoned the first season one weekend a little while ago, and I've been watching the season 2 episodes as they come, with all these thoughts bubbling over in me. Like: How amazing was Connor Jessup (Ben Mason) at channeling the voice of the Overlord in the last episode?? And was anyone else thinking Native American Reservations when the Overlord made Tom an offer to let the rebellion live in peace and submission in 2x01?? (If I have one objection to the handling of the "occupation and invasion" theme, it's how little Tom makes references to the Native Americans, in contrast to all the Civil War analogies.) And does the evolution of Ben from annoying McGuffin into a vital player in the war remind anyone else of River Tam??
