Apparently a new Sookie Stackhouse novel came out a couple of days ago? I'm sure it's terrible, as they generally are, but you can guess what I'll be reading on Kindle for the next few hours.
There is one IMAX theatre in Kunming, and it's screening The Avengers, but I'm too lazy to leave the apartment and suffer the crowds of people, even for a popcorn fest. I've watched the CAM version that's been floating around though. My non-spoilery review: Meh. It was clever, and fun, and there were some wonderful visual gags (as one would expect from Whedon), but I was left feeling....underwhelmed. With no burning desire to watch it again, unlike the reaction I had with Iron Man, or even X-Men: First Class. Maybe I should see it on the big screen?
Summer is basically upon us, and I bought a couple of things recently to celebrate. This
MaxMara Studio dress (sleek, basic, MACHINE-WASHABLE, should be nice for work with a blazer), a nude and orange poppy print dress from Kookai, a black washed silk romper and some plain shirts from NuoMi Shanghai, Robert Rodriguez silks palazzo pants (great fun), and brown
Gaimo espadrilles.
Now, back to washing my hair (currently my scalp is marinating in Rene Furterer Complexe 5 hair treatment oil), and then the new Charlaine Harris.
