James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender could soon be co-stars in Danny Boyle's heist thriller Trance. Both are reportedly in talks to join the film. An assistant at an auction house masterminds [an art] heist and teams up with a gang of thieves, but suffers a blow to the head and wakes up with amnesia. He is the only one who knows where the painting’s location is and after his continued failure to remember, the gang begins to suspect duplicity on his part and hire a female hypnotist to get into his brain.

Sarah Shahi (Life, Fairly Legal) will co-star with Sylvester Stallone and Sung Kang (Fast Five) in Walter Hill's upcoming action thriller, which is still untitled. She will play the daughter of Stallone's character, a New Orleans hitman who teams with a Gotham cop (Kang?) to take down the killers of their respective partners. (

Rebecca Hall and Benedict Cumberbatch will star in Parade's End, a 5-part miniseries for HBO set in WWI, scripted by Tom Stoppard and based on the novels by Ford Maddox Ford: Published in four parts between 1924 and 1928, his extraordinary novel centers on Christopher Tietjens [Cumberbatch], an officer and gentleman-”the last English Tory”-and follows him from the secure, orderly world of Edwardian England into the chaotic madness of the First World War. Against the backdrop of a world at war, Ford recounts the complex sexual warfare between Tietjens and his faithless wife Sylvia [Hall].
