Trailer and four clips from the Coen Bros' True Grit, starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and young breakout star Hailee Steinfeld. Based on the novel by Charles Portis about a fourteen year old girl (Steinfeld) who acquires the help of a drunken US Marshal (Bridges) and a Texas Ranger (Damon) in tracking down the man who murdered her father.
Armie Hammer (who played the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network) is in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwood's upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic. In the movie, Hammer would play Clyde Tolson, lawyer-turned-FBI-official who was Hoover's (DiCaprio) right-hand man - and according to some, his lover. Charlie Theron is also in talks for the role of Helen Gandy, who was Hoover's personal secretary for many years. The screenplay is being written by Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black (Milk).
Tom Hardy (Inception) is set to star in John Hillcoat's (The Proposition, The Road) Prohibition era drama The Promised Land, about a trio of bootlegging brothers. Shia LaBeouf is also attached to star.
Luc Besson is shooting a film about Burmese pro-democracy politician and activist Aung San Suu Kyi with Michelle Yeoh in the leading role? That was a little...unexpected. Movie is titled Into the Light.
