Lost Girl 1.04

Lost Girl is far from perfect. The writing is a bit on the nose at times, and the talents of the guest actors vary greatly. But on what other show are you likely to come across a conversation like this?

BO
As recent events have suggested, mixing sex and emotions can get kind of messy.

DYSON
That's what I was trying to avoid with us.

BO
Yeah, I get that now.

DYSON
My offer does still stand, though. I'm here whenever you need me. [For feeding, that is, because Bo is a succubus who accidentally kills humans when she feeds from them.]

BO
How about...for more than just healing? How about for fun?

DYSON
(smiles incredulously)
For fun?

BO
Yeah. There's this whole 'friends with benefits' thing I've heard so much about.

DYSON
(laughing)
You don't say.

BO
Yeah, and you're actually kind of perfect. You...don't care.
(sobers)
You don't die. And I trust you.

DYSON
Friends with benefits.

BO
But definitely just friends.

DYSON
Deal.

[they kiss]

BO
So...you wanna get friendly at your place or mine?"

LATER Dyson is in a session with the therapist that his police superior is making him see.

DYSON
So there's this...woman.

I'm not sure what I like more: the fact that Dyson describes her as "this...woman", or the genuine sweetness of Anna Silk's Bo as she portrays this character trying to negotiate sex, emotion, and her body's own unique needs.

Lastly, a pic I've just found of the main love triangle.
