Chase who?
Chase Palmer has been hired to work on the script for Paramount's Dune, directed by Pierre Morel. Palmer doesn't have a lot of credits on IMDb, but he has apparently written and directed a few thrillers, as well the short film Shock and Awe, which is about an Iraqi family whose dinner is interrupted by fighting in Baghdad.
I must admit to being incredibly underwhelmed by the announcement at first. Morel said last week in an interview that the writer would be a name we recognised, which is absolutely false. But then I watched Shock and Awe, and I was reassured somewhat. Go, watch it, let me know what you think.
