a fragment, quoted in Art Wolfe's "Light on the Land". The e age can be stultifying or amazing, but to just put the title of the poem in, and find it translated on your site, fits the amazing. Traveled to Elephanta, just two of us: quiet, very early morning, unpeopled visit, deep fog approach. Hot monkeyed crowded jostling descent. The poem is the morning. The trash must come later. The words frame the experience beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
