About eight weeks ago, I went looking in all the bookshops I knew in the city for a copy of Evan Wright's Generation Kill. All had either never heard of it, or were sold out, but I ended up going back to Kinokuniya (where I did manage to find a copy of Nate Fick's book, One Bullet Away). The helpful guys at the info desk assured me that they already had 2 more copies ordered, and said that they would give me a ring when it arrived. Such telephone call never call came. This afternoon, I went over to Kinokuniya to see how the book was coming along.
Short story: it wasn't.
Generation Kill's Australian distributor, Random House, is ALL SOLD OUT; the US distributor that Kino orders from have no stock either. And their UK distributor doesn't even know it exists.
Looks like I'm stuck with ordering a used copy from Abebooks.
